Where is the Undocumented in Psychology?

Undocumented students face a number of challenges that make it difficult to connect with one another. With financial assistance from an SPSP Community Catalyst Grant, a group of members were able to build support for a community whose needs are largely neglected within psychology.

Spotlight on Eliane Boucher

After earning her Ph.D. in Social/Personality psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and just over ten years teaching at both the University of Texas Permian Basin and Providence College, Eliane Boucher transitioned to the world of digital therapeutics. A single mom to two boys, Eliane is an avid hiker and a craft beer snob.

How and Why the Wealthy Try to Cover Up Their Privileges

After their advantages are pointed out to them, the wealthy exaggerate how hard they work and how much they suffered. From the SPSP blog.

Advocating on Behalf of Social Psychology

SPSP’s Government Relations Committee recently held their second “Why Social Science” contest—challenging early career and graduate student members to explain, in 100 words or less, how social psychological research can help address societal problems.

SISPP 2022: Call for Instructors

SPSP is soliciting suggestions for courses and instructors for the 2022 Summer Institute for Social and Personality Psychology to be hosted at Ohio State University in July of 2022. Faculty at least 5 years post-PhD are eligible to apply. The deadline for submissions is May 15, 2021.

Early Bird Registration Now Open

SPSP's collaborative experience will now take place virtually and focus on the Dynamics Modeling program. Reduced pricing on registration is now available through May 25. The Health Disparities Forum has been postponed until Summer 2022.

Nominate a Colleague Today
